Outside the Octagon

Many professional fighters are involved within their communities and it’s a joy to see this in action across the globe. Several of the stories you’ll read in Broken Before Battle: Raising Champions for Tomorrow and Changing Lives Outside the Octagon, include details about the organizations that the fighters are actively supporting financially or through volunteering and several of them are connected here for you to research and support if you desire.

Many children benefit from participating in free MMA classes and programs offered which provide a remarkable opportunity to change their lives through skilled athletic training that teaches them a better way to deal with their conflicted emotions. Other children throughout the world are being encouraged and served by professional mixed martial artists who enjoy reaching out to change lives for the better. Some of the fighters also have been privileged to go on USO Tours for our troops and it’s wonderful to see these warriors assisting our military warriors.

One of the goals for all those being part of the Broken Before Battle trilogy series, is to open the minds and hearts of individuals outside of the sport who may not know these truths about these men and women involved in MMA. We hope you will choose to become involved within your own communities to help make our world a better place to live!
